Our Mission

The Malik Sims Foundation honors Malik’s life by creating pathways of hope, healing, education, mentorship, and opportunity for vulnerable youth impacted by trauma, violence, foster care involvement, and mental health challenges.

We are committed to building safe spaces where young people feel seen, supported, and empowered to succeed.

Our Vision

We envision a community where every young person, regardless of their circumstances, has access to safety, mentorship, emotional support, and meaningful opportunities to thrive.

Our long-term vision is to establish a permanent youth-centered community space in Indiana where youth can access:

After-school programming

Mental health support and referrals

Life skills training

Educational enrichment

Scholarship opportunities

Safe recreational activities

Violence prevention programming

Family and grief support resources

Parent & Family Grief Support

Providing support spaces for families navigating grief, trauma, and loss.

Why This Matters...

Gun violence does not only take lives.

It devastates families.
It fractures communities.
It leaves trauma that lasts for generations.

The Malik Sims Foundation exists because one life mattered.

And because protecting the next life matters just as much.
